Howdy,
I think we can all agree that 2021 has been a wild ride. It's common that newsletters and blogs might take a moment to reflect on it in detail. This might include, some lists what I've read, or maybe my top favorite projects. I'm not sure I can do that, I've been so busy moving forward!

The thing is, just the other day it occurred to me why something like a top 10 list can be helpful. True to form, I discovered this while suggesting it as a sort of mood-enhancement activity for someone else. You see, someone close was faced with what could be a long day. In wishing them well I blurted out "Think of a top 10 list - your top 10 whatever" hoping it may inspire a focus on some feel-good things rather than the stresses of the day 💡

That's when I thought  - is that why people do that? We're all faced with shorter days, colder nights and that sudden realization the year is ending sooner than we planned. In that light (or lack there of), making a list of things to feel good about seems essential.

I'll spare you from having to read that here; there's a blog post for that. In the meantime let me say one important thing that's been on my mind. I miss you . . .

There are some who received this MUSEletter that maintain regular contact, I love that; it's essential food for an artist's soul. There are others who I'm just getting to know and the chance to make new connections is precious. But there's also a bunch of people with-whom I haven't spent as much time as I once did. In some cases it's the years, sometimes it's the distance, but when I started this MUSEletter (back in March) there was a glorious wave of re-connections, e-mail updates that lead to video calls (the new norm for 2021). That's since dropped off a bit, understandable, the year's ending and we're all busy. But if you've the mind for it and are thinking "when was the last time I did it" then hit the reply button and let me know what you've been up to. Or better yet, give me your Top 10 Whatever for 2021!

November's A Tiger's Tale announcement focused on this work of art.
aTigersTale.com

I went into great detail in last month's Talk@aTigersTale.com newsletter so I will be brief.

The renown taoist master of martial arts and medicine Grandmaster Tu Jin-Sheng has earned a formidable reputation for his physics defying feats; but he is also an accomplished painter and traditional calligrapher. He has generously agreed to provide artwork for the cover of my forthcoming graphic novel. He also offered to lend an additional piece to the cause of the A TIGER'S TALE kickstarter campaign; launching February 1st 2022. Working in collaboration, we’ve printed a limited run of postcards and stickers with plans for deluxe prints as well.

X-Mas vs. X-Men!

Usually I include a chapter of IMPERFEComics with each MUSEletter but I'm changing that routine for December. Since you enjoyed the The Halloween Special: CALLING SISTER RITA - I thought I should also do a Christmas themed episode to end the year with. I was rushing to get it done but it's still early in the month, so for the sake of quality and Christmas cheer, I thought I should send it to you much closer to the Holiday.

In the meantime, there's a teaser of a title to enjoy and a bit of artwork as well.

As always, Thanks for reading, and keep an eye out for the IMPERFEComics X-Mas Special; coming to your inbox soon. Until then - check the MUSEletter archives to see how these missives have evolved. Also; keep an eye out for THE COMICS FU SHOW episode 3!
