Today marks the final three days of the UKGK.site campaign. If you haven’t been observing the campaign as a backer I’m happy to say that not only have we reached our campaign’s funding goal, we’ve also unlocked the first of our stretch goals - insuring that every physical reward tier includes the following swag (see below).

Get your copy of UNDEAD KUNGFU GHOST KILLER #1 👹  UKGK.site is still accepting support and adding backers to our roster. To make a game of it I’ve uncovered this 12 Monkeys sticker set which I published for my very first ever kickstarter campaign. 

It features Sun Wu Kong; The Monkey King and a coterie of other simians. This sticker sheet will be added to the reward box of the last person to support this campaign before it closes at 9:00AM PST on October 31st 2025. The remaining sticker sheets will be included in the reward box of any previous backer who’s name gets mentioned by any new backer. In this way I hope to entice readers of this missive who have yet to join our campaign and reward those proponents willing to encourage others to join this project; they just have to tell me that you sent them.

Next Stop: A guest appearance on the Elephant Eater Comics Annual Dispatch livestream. Comic creator Ryan Claytor’s been a mighty mentor for my self-publishing and crowdfunding endevors from the very begining. My very first Kickstarter campaign was launched live on one of his events a few years back.  I’ll be joining the Annual Dispatch Final Night Livestream for a 10 minute (exactly) conversation with Ryan about UNDEAD KUNGFU GHOST KILLER #1. This will happen at 8:20pm EST / 5:20pm PST on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025 on the Ryan Claytor YouTube channel.

In celebration of our campaign's success I’ll be hosting an online zoom meet-up:  Chinese Vampires & Other Creatures Rather than take up a whole chunk of your Halloween evening with a full movie viewing, I thought I could instead run through some movie trailers, share background and offer other recommendations for movies you and yours can watch later on Halloween weekend or some other time when a scary (+/-) movie is called for.

I've been a fan of David's writing since before his historic run on Marvel's Dr. Strange comics. He laid the groundwork for what made Wong so grate in the MCU. But more recently, he & I collaborated on a contribution to Let's Go! A Kids Comics Studio Anthology; copies of which are currently heading to  supporters of that project. 

It's been a full October and I hope to hear from you before the month ends. It doesn't have to be a big production like this was. Even the shortest of replies is welcome.
