Here, is my first published work; circa 1978 published in the <em>Kidsday<\/em> section of the local edition of New York&#8217;s <em>Newsday<\/em> newspaper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-16018d1d wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.patreon.com\/posts\/for-first-post-70808302?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&amp;utm_source=copyLink&amp;utm_campaign=postshare_creator\">click for more!<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>While I couldn&#8217;t recount it today, this character brought with it a whole elaborate backstory. It&#8217;s one I would expand on a couple of years later when I was allowed to paint this character on the school cafeteria wall.
