I only recently read Gene Yang’s THE SHADOW HERO<\/a>. I was able to borrow a review copy just before his visit to KungFuMagazine.com<\/a>. As with most of his other graphic novels, once I started it, I could not put it down. It will make a nice addition on the book shelf once I get around to ordering a copy<\/a> for my library. The Green Turtle<\/strong>, protagonist from The Shadow Hero<\/em> has since been popping up as a subject among many excellent artists, many of whom I follow for inspiration, and motivation for improvement. As I had decided to skip this year’s San Diego Comic-Con (I just couldn’t get all my ducks in a row in time<\/em><\/span>), I found I had a bit of extra free time with no last minute preparations or travel required. So I thought I would peel off a bit of that time to have fun with my own version of The Green Turtle.<\/p>\n
