After seven years away from\u00a0Youngblood,<\/em>\u00a0Liefeld reunites with Scott Mitchell Rosenberg CEO of Platinum Studios Inc., the managers of the\u00a0Youngblood<\/em>\u00a0I.P. for the property\u2019s current owner, Rip Media Inc.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who remembers Youngblood<\/em>\u00a0from Liefeld\u2019s participation in the industry shaking launch of IMAGE comics back in the 90’s. The original\u00a0Youngblood<\/em>\u00a0miniseries sold over 25 million copies worldwide, thanks largely to the boom in comics speculation of the time. Its publication history spans over 100 issues with featured contributions throughout its run from talents such as Robert Kirkman (Invincible<\/em>,\u00a0The Walking Dead<\/em>) Alan Moore (Watchmen, Supreme<\/em>), and Mark Millar (Kick-Ass<\/em>,\u00a0TheKingsmen<\/em>).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rosenberg and Liefeld are combining to create new\u00a0Youngblood<\/em>\u00a0media and merchandise, kicking off with a new title written and illustrated by Liefeld himself, set to launch from Image Comics in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Liefeld and Rosenberg promise more details in the weeks ahead, but initial plans include a Youngblood Vault Edition<\/em> representing high resolution scans of the original art from the first Youngblood<\/em> series in a deluxe oversized hardcover, as well as a Facsimile Edition of Youngblood #1<\/em> to mark the title\u2019s 33rd anniversary in April 2025, both to be published by Image Comics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rob Liefeld is the creator of such original titles as \u201cDeadpool\u201d, \u201cCable,\u201d \u201cX-Force,\u201d \u201cYoungblood,\u201d and \u201cProphet\u201d among others. 20th Century Fox film division greenlit the DEADPOOL<\/a> film franchise in 2010 to great fanfare, releasing two movies starring Ryan Reynolds,\u00a0 as the title character that has grossed over $1.5B globally in Box Office Revenue.
