Comics and music history will be made in upstate New York with the first ever live performance of an original Rock Opera in a comic book shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Eargoggle<\/strong>– Kingston resident Ezra Gale and a rotating cast of guest musicians- will present a live performance of songs from BOX OF TAPES: A Rock Opera<\/em><\/strong>, <\/em>a 16-song album and graphic novel currently trending on Kickstarter. Box of Tapes<\/em> comes with a YA Graphic Novel of the story produced for all media: the project includes a 60-page graphic novel and an accompanying double album on all formats- vinyl album, digital formats and even cassette tape (!). The live performance at World\u2019s End Comics, located in Kingston\u2019s historic Stockade District, will celebrate the Kickstarter for the project. It is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As far as is known, this will be the first live performance of a rock opera in a comic book shop. \u201cThis will be a first, I\u2019m looking forward to it,\u201d shared World\u2019s End co-owner Cristopher Livecchi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Box of Tapes<\/em> tells the story of The Teen living with their father in a city without power.. Outside, people huddle around bonfires, while inside, candles flicker to push back the darkness. Against this haunting backdrop, Our Teen navigates a world of love, grief, and rebellion\u2014fueled by cassette tapes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Box of Tapes<\/em> isn\u2019t just music or comics\u2014it\u2019s a fully immersive journey. The songs and the story are intertwined, creating a world you can live in. You decide whether to flip through the pages or let the music take you there, but either way, you\u2019re in for a visceral, emotional ride. <\/p>\n\n\n
