From a giant turtle village to a town called Nowhere, a dragon friend to a pair of book-loving sharks, Let\u2019s Go! A Kids Comics Studio Anthology<\/em><\/strong> is a genre-hopping, creature-filled, all-ages graphic novel packed with journeys of the imagination\u2014and powered by community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launching April 22 on Kickstarter, Let\u2019s Go!<\/em><\/strong> is a fully creator-driven anthology crafted by members of Kids Comics Unite (KCU), an international network of graphic novel writers and artists. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 176-page full-color collection features 28 never-before-published short comics for middle grade readers (ages 7\u201311), created by 31 contributors from across the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What sets Let\u2019s Go!<\/em><\/strong> apart is not just its rich mix of humor, adventure, and heart\u2014but how it was made. It\u2019s the result of a community taking matters into their own hands to conceive, create, edit, design, publish and promote a book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEveryone who contributed to the anthology wasn\u2019t just a storyteller\u2014they were part of the publishing team. We are all learning together. Artists became editors. Authors joined the design team. It\u2019s been a democratic, collaborative effort at every level, and the results promise to make for a rich experience for readers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Led by KCU founder and literary agent Janna Morishima, the project grew out of KCU\u2019s Kids Comics Studio program, where creators work together to hone their craft and learn the business of publishing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 31 contributors hail from all over the world (the US, Canada, the UK,  France, Australia, and Costa Rica) and represent authors and author-illustrators with all levels of experience, from debut to seasoned. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stories range in tone and genre but share a common theme, based on a quote from writer Tim Cahill: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
