It features a morning filled with last minute updates to the campaign page, tech-checks for a mostly-improvised live launch.  That 60+ minute live stream is a blur to my memory. Most details were subsumed by the rapid rise of our campaign funding numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Let&#039;s Go!  Kids Comics Unite Anthology Kickstarter Launch Event\" width=\"1170\" height=\"658\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_fllsKo-JUY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Plenty of behind the scenes adjustments took place during and immediately after to insure things continue to run as&nbsp;smoothly&nbsp;(+\/-) as they&#8217;ve been going so far. The curve of support has been steep, almost a straight line up. Not that I wouldn\u2019t t enjoy the bragging rights of achieving 2845% of one\u2019s goal, but such a steep rise, over the course of 30+ days would probably be unprecedented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As I wrote the first of our backer updates I observed the steady climb up to 85% \u2014 a direct result of celebrating our passing that 80% mark. I lament being locked out of the option for sending a personal thank you to each backer in a DM. It turns out that as a collaborator on this project and not the official creator &#8211; I do not have that power. So strategic update will have to do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As it reached midnight on the west coast I gave the campaign one final look. It hovered at 88% of our funding goal. We would have to count on fans across the Pacific or the early risers in Europe to continue the momentum. In either case I resolve to waking up to the good news.
