Since the last time I wrote, new and long-long-long-time friends have subscribed to this MUSEletter – for the first time. On the Career Coach front this makes a great reminder that there's always work to do when it comes to stitching one's personal existence in the world to one's work in arts & culture. I suppose it's part of proving you're human in a procedurally generated society. Can you tell I've been having some heady conversations lately? Let's dial it back down with a new comic and...

As predicted, March was both full and fortuitous. The reception for the Sun Gallery's Illustrator Exhibit was a delight. Books were sold and signed. Some of the pieces in the mosaic below are also available for acquisition. Perhaps someone will make an offer on one.

I've mentioned this to some of you but having my art on display at the Sun Gallery in Hayward California (PLUS their associated books) couldn't have been better timed. The windows to the 100 year old cottage in which I reside needed to be replaced. Most significant of them was the ginormous front window of the ARTroom - where I'm writing you from. Unfortunately glass that large is prohibitively expensive so the walls were brought in on either side instead.

To make space for all of this, boxes needed to be moved - the area in front of the window had become storage for surplus books. Art also needed to come off some walls and ended up in the gallery. You can still find said art on exhibit until May 23, 2026, which will give me time to paint the new wall and do some long overdue reorganizing.

Part thoughtful B-day gift, part fortuitous opportunity. With the Art Room currently in upheaval, a handful of mini-sketchbooks turned out to be the perfect gift. A huge public thanks to the Ms. who always makes B-days special. Three of the four mini-sketchbooks have already earned themes. Two of them are dedicated to specific (unnamed) projects with the 3rd becoming a Milo Journal. A place to develop future episodes of Go Doggo and explore more autobiographical musings. So watch for a future installment of IMPERFEComics based on the sketches below.

UKGK at the Local Comic Shop!!!

I'm still so excited that Treasure Island Comics remains the only comic shop in-the-world that offers UNDEAD KUNGFU GHOST KILLER #1! I saw someone pick up a copy during our illustrators' reception so I can't say exactly how many copies remain available as of this writing. Check out the titles my comic is set among; Marvel Ultimates, Uncle Scrooge, The Twilight Zone and what looks like Deadpool and Venom over to the right. Fun Stuff!
