Just Launched! SYSTEMIC

September kicks off a unique time in-between the summertime in innocence of a project like LET’s GO! A Kids Comic Studio Anthology and the darker fare of the Halloween/Dia De Los Muertos season. In this space comes a new sci-fi anthology focused on stories of the small, the insignificant, and the infinitely critical human lives where forces meet, mesh and grind together.

SYSTEMIC gathers the work of some of the brightest stars in comics into an 80-page, full-color volume featuring a mix of standalone and serialized stories using the lens of science fiction to cast a critical eye on our own society. From a quietly philosophical exploration of the nature of safety to a political thriller about stolen land, a story of musical revolution in an AI dystopia to a body horror freakout about the commodification of human life, Systemic will invite readers on a journey to seven fascinating futures.

Published by Studio 12-7, and created and edited by Arthur N. Ebuen (writer: ©alifornia, Inc.; animator: The Simpsons, Futurama) and Ben Crane (writer: Cosmic Cadets, A Man of Lies; development executive: The Equalizer, Jack Ryan), Systemic will feature contributions from (in alphabetical order): A.H.G., Kevin Betou, Simon Birks, Frank Cvetkovic, Adam Douglas, Richard Fairgray, Val Halvorson, Norm Harper, Chris Hill, Dave Law, Pepper, Nina Poulston, Oceano Ransford, and Stephanie Williams.

That’s a powerhouse of a line-up and a fine bunch of folks working in the style of classic sci-fi magazines like Analog and Weird Tales, Systemic is going to delight those of us who are fans of Black Mirror and The Twilight Zone.
