Scene Script
Deep in the Hunan mountains there’s a temple called Shaolin.
Among the temples residents, there was a young monk named HUE.
While his fellow monks train, all HUI wants to talk about is tigers,
It was the boy’s great passion,
While the other monks his age slept, tired from their hard work. Hui would be up late, musing on tigers.
No one was interested in his theories about animals and nature.
Everyone had too much work to do with the Temple’s construction but Hue would practice his drawings instead.
Occasionally it resulted in trouble with Senior Monks
Hue practices drawing until a shadow loops over him blocking out his sunlight.
Turns out it’s Senior Monk Yang.
Yang – “Hue! this is a terrible waste of ink and paper and time!”
Hue – exclaims “Ah yah!”
Until one day Kan arrives at Hue’s temple as an invited guest.
And because Kan has heard rumor of Hue’s admiration, he approaches Hue during a meal, for an impromptu interview
Because of this all of the other monks hurry out of the cafeteria.
Kan, prince of Tiger’s approaches the young Hue casually, but it is still the approach of an apex predator.
He circles Hue before hopping onto the table and settling down.
Because of this Hue offers Kan a bit to eat before realizing the kitchen has only vegetarian food and Kan is a Tiger who eats meat. He’s terrified.
Hue – Can I offer you anything to eat?
Kan – You’re offering me something to eat?
After the extended silence the other monks look in from outside the doorway.
Hue – yes?
More uncomfortable silence
Kan – No. I am not Hungrrrrry.
Hue collapses in relief.
Hue – “Whew”
