Last Summer’s return to San Diego Comic-Con after a multi-decade break was eye opening. It was also a source for many inspirations and turned out to be quite a mile-marker for my career in comics.
I’m doing it again this year.
Up until just last week I was of the mindset that I ought to come to terms with not attending. The half-dozen panel proposals I submitted were all rejected. Certain other factors which might have assured my attendance had also fallen through. I had one think I could count on, my press credentials.
But suddenly the gods and Goddess looked kindly upon the circumstances of my Summer. I was offered a place to crash, travel suddenly became affordable and while it will not be full attendance bookended by extra time on either end it still means I’ll be there.
