As a fan of collaborative art projects [see imandala.org], I’m amazed by the Zoomquilt. It provides a great way to take a break from too much concentration and simply zone out to some cool trip art. Or one can look intently at the the works of art and the techniques on display. Either way, one can become lost in the the perpetual dive into the Surreal worlds just a browser window away.
The Zoomquilt was completed in 2004. The project emerged from the surroundings of the internet platform tiles.ice.org, a site where people collaborated on patchwork paintings in earlier days of the internet. Notably drawing inspiration from Gridcosm, a similar and ongoing project, the Zoomquilt aims to create a more seamless and immersive experience.
